Running winexe on the Mac
Until recently I have been able to do this only on Linux boxes. I have compiled it and it works great however, on Mac OS X I have not had any luck until a few days I came across this site. There are also links provided to the winexe binary packages here.
So, once you install it, the usage is simple:
Here is a quick exemple.
To get the route table on the Windows machine (using your correct IP address and other appropriate information):
winexe -U YOURDOMAIN/YourAccount%YourPassword //172.16.2.xxx 'route print'
If you want to start a Windows service:
winexe -U YOURDOMAIN/YourAccount%YourPassword //172.16.2.xxx 'net start "Service Name"'

10.7: Improved Arrange By option in Finder�s column view
This setting allows you to group items by name, kind, application, various dates, size, and label. Within these groups, you can still sort by name, date modified, etc.
[crarko adds: This actually appeared in Snow Leopard, but has been enhanced in Lion, including the addition of keyboard equivalents. I'll publish it to draw people's attention to the feature, which is super-handy if you live in Column view, like I do.]

Maintaining a Dynamic DNS automatically.
However one can greatly simplify this with a launchDaemon and a single built in OSX unix command.
First, this assumes that you have set up an account with a Dynamic DNS service. I use the free service provided by FreeDNS. One updates this simply by loading a web page URL. The act of making that page request alerts the DynamicDNS of your IP address and it updates.
Thus all we need is a LaunchDaemon that runs every hour that reloads that page. Here is an example: ...
